ILL TALMUSIC

Ill Tal is an underground hip-hop producer and composer based in northern New Jersey, just outside New York City. With more than 10,000 records in his collection and a studio filled with vintage gear, he has been crafting hip-hop beats and instrumentals since 1997.

His sound is rooted in boom bap and underground hip-hop production, blending sampling with live instrumentation. Drawing inspiration from jazz fusion, soul, funk, progressive rock, and sound library, Ill Tal builds tracks using hardware samplers, analog synthesizers, and classic keys rather than relying solely on software.

Over the years he has built a catalog of production credits with respected names in underground hip-hop including U-God of Wu-Tang, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, Planet Asia, Craig G of the Juice Crew, and Rim.

In addition to his own releases, Ill Tal offers hip-hop production services for artists, film, and independent projects. Services include exclusive-license boom bap beats, sample replay for clearance purposes, analog hardware processing, and all-vinyl DJ sets for venues across the New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut tri-state area.
